For my Intro to Textiles class at SCAD, we were tasked with creating a six-look collection as well as creating 12 original textile swatches to go with it.

My collection was inspired by the magical world of Atlantis and the mixing of a new world with the ocean. The Empire of Tides envisions a future where humanity surrenders to the rising tides, evolving into an aquatic realm of regal existence. Merging the ethereal elegance of Atlanteen royalty with futuristic silhouettes, the collection blends organic oceanic textures with metallic embellishments. Set against a palette of deep blues, silver foils, and iridescent sheers. Intricate textile manipulations replicate the delicate ecosystems of the sea, incorporating metallic weaves, liquid-like mesh, and pearlescent beading to embody an aesthetic that is both opulent and dystopian. This collection invites you to reimagine survival, where power shifts from land to the ocean’s depths, rising like a kingdom reborn.
